Two switches, both connected to a server, but switch 1 the connected port is 8, on switch 2, the connected port is 4.  Setting up CLAG to the server, but the bond won't come up.  Do the ports need to be of the same number on both switches?

Switch 1:
interface bond-node2d
  bond-slaves swp8
  bridge-vids 6 20 30 40 50 60 70
  clag-id 204
  mtu 9216

Switch 2:
interface bond-node2d
  bond-slaves swp4
  bridge-vids 6 20 30 40 50 60 70
  clag-id 204
  mtu 9216

truncated output of "net show clag":

Our Interface      Peer Interface     CLAG Id
   ----------------   ----------------         -------
     bond-node2d   -                         204
     bond-torc01   bond-torc01         20
      bond-tsw01   bond-tsw01          1
      bond-tsw02   bond-tsw02          2
     bond-torc02    -                            21

Troy,

The port numbers shouldn't matter. Just as long as the clag-id is the same on each switch, you should be able to connect the server to any port. You might want to take a look at /proc/net/bonding/bond-node2d, which contains 802.3ad information, including information about the partner (server).
