Wanting to keep the oob management seperate from the data plane, I have enabled the mgmt vrf. However, I was wondering where to put the ip address. Do I put it on the eth0 interface, or is this more like a SVI now and I put it on the mgmt interface, in addition to the 127.0.0.1/8?

David,

The eth0 IP address is still assigned to the eth0 interface. If you're using DHCP you'd have something like this in your /etc/network/interfaces file:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
    vrf mgmt
...
auto mgmt
iface mgmt
    address 127.0.0.1/8
    vrf-table auto
If you are not using DHCP then just assign the IP address to the eth0 interface with something like this:
auto eth0
iface eth0
    vrf mgmt
    address 192.0.2.42/24
    gateway 192.0.2.1
...
auto mgmt
iface mgmt
    address 127.0.0.1/8
    vrf-table auto
