which aaa protocol is recommended by cumulus, or which one is good with linux in general

i had read in the cumulus guide - open LDAP servers with linux aren't that good as the Microsoft AD. trying to explore which aaa, overall is good with linux(both client and server) and feature wise

If you want full Linux semantics, then LDAP is the way to go. While Cumulus doesn’t officially support LDAP it works quite well. It also works well with AD servers.

Cumulus officially supports and has custom packages for both TACACS+ and RADIUS. RADIUS is the most limited of the 3 protocols.
